The long wintry months are behind us and hope springs eternal as baseball season gets under way. The Reds opened the 2011 campaign with a thrilling 9th inning rally to beat the Brewers on a Ramon Hernandez 3 run homer. (Edinson Volquez struggled early, but I am trying to stay positive here.)
This season I intend to use this blog to post my thoughts after each game. I promise to only comment on games I actually watch, otherwise I would just be repeating what someone else said about the game, and what fun is that.
Last season I tested out a new app for my iPone. It is called Gamechanger, and it allows the user to score baseball games with their iPhone in real time. I admit to being a bit of a dork and I enjoy scoring the games while I am watching them. I have linked the app this season to both my Facebook and Twitter accounts so my friends and followers will be able to follow along with me as I watch the games. I am also embedding a scoreboard feature here on my blog so that the scores will be posted. If you follow the link on the scoreboard you can sign yourself up to be a Fan of my scoring page and get the updates sent to you by email. Again, I wont be scoring every game, but will be scoring the ones I am able to watch.
Happy Baseball season, and GO REDS!!!
